Health & Medical Pain Management on The Elderly Presentation

Complete the presentation and proposal:

? MAIN DETAILS: This change process typically begins with a Review of Literature (ROL). The ROL should support the change project by providing evidence of the feasibility of a chosen or potential option or simply identifying possible options. The theory of how to make a successful change needs to be addressed. For this course, we will ALL use Lewin’s Theory of Change. Write a description of how the change project will look or flow using Lewin’s Theory. This is also included as part of your formal Proposal paper.

PRESENTATION: The slides should include pain meds and PRN for   Pain management on the elderly theme. Frequency, how often to documenting these slides, you will address the class as you explain your change project implementation plan. Your slides represent your ‘pitch’ to the class for the change project. Just as in the work environment, you would not have a long discussion about evidence and theory – your objective during the oral presentation in class is to show the class how the plan will be implemented and why it will be beneficial to do so.

Introduction:
This content is related to a change project in medical college that typically begins with a review of literature (ROL), which should support the change project by providing evidence of the feasibility of a chosen or potential option or simply identifying possible options. The theory of how to make a successful change needs to be addressed, and for this course, we will all use Lewin’s Theory of Change. The content also discusses the presentation of pain meds and PRN for pain management on the elderly theme, where frequency and how often to document these slides will be addressed.

Answer:
For the change project implementation plan, Lewin’s Theory of Change will be followed, which consists of three stages: unfreezing, changing, and refreezing. In the unfreezing stage, we will analyze the current pain management practices for elderly patients and identify the need for change. We will then create awareness and readiness among the healthcare providers by highlighting the benefits of the new pain management plan. In the changing stage, we will introduce pain meds and PRN for pain management, along with proper documentation procedures. Finally, in the refreezing stage, we will reinforce the new pain management plan by conducting regular audits, providing feedback, and continually evaluating the outcomes. The new pain management plan will improve the quality of life for elderly patients and reduce the risks associated with inappropriate medication use.
